The sunsets out here are really amazing!
Election Time!
Election time here in Guam is crazy! They have billboards all along the side of the roads, people driving around with them in the back of their trucks honking and waving, fights breaking out at some of the debates, people really get into it here. The politicians here get up close and personal. We saw one candidate named Aguon who is running for Governor at the beach; he sat down and ate some food with some of the locals having a bbq on the beach. That is a common thing here during election time, they candidates really like to get out into the community which I think is pretty cool.
It really doesn’t feel like Halloween at all here, it is way too hot! So we went fishing on Halloween, Trent only caught one fish that day but it was nice to just hang out at the beach. Then we came home, got our new couch, and Trent made us some coconut curry and we stayed in and watched scary movies.
On Monday we went to some of Tommy’s (Trent’s boss) farms. I got to try some new fruit that I have never had before and I don’t even know some of their names. I tried this one fruit that almost looks like black pudding inside, it is really sweet but it has a lot of seeds in it. It has been pretty rainy here the past few days, so we got eaten alive by mosquitoes so we didn’t stay long.
Our house is really starting to come together. We finally got our blinds installed, now we can open our typhoon shutters and let some light in. Before it felt like we were living in a box with all of the shutters closed. Just need a few more things and our home should be set! Oh, and our second bedroom is all set, so come and visit! ;)
Such pretty sunsets and interesting looking fruit. The apartment looks pretty new and clean. What's the kitchen like?
